Here, creativity begins by noticing: sunlight slipping through willow leaves, shadows stretching across a familiar landscape, a mountain softened by morning haze, or a story waiting quietly beneath the surface of an ordinary or not so ordinary moment.

Through the lens of my camera or the shaping of a sentence, I am drawn to reveal the interplay of shadow and light, imagination and truth, capturing what is visible and sensing what is intuitive. I believe that photography and storytelling are more than ink on a page, they’re living moments that grow toward wonder. Both invite us to look again, to linger, to discover beauty in places we might otherwise pass by.

Willow & Wing Press is a home for my photography, essays, memoir moments, reflections, short stories, and fantasy fiction filled with magic, myth, romance, and wonder. I am inspired by the beauty and mystery of the world around us. Like sunlight through willow leaves, my work wanders where nature meets imagination, where landscapes become metaphors, where shadows give dimension to the light, and where the real world sometimes bends gently toward magic.

I’m Jenean, the writer and photographer behind the wings. I grew up believing that stories comfort, transform, and connect us, and that art can do much the same without whispering a word. Whether I am standing behind a lens or sitting before a blank page, I am seeking those fleeting places where beauty reveals itself: in trees and mountains, ocean and sand, memory and moments, wonder and possibility.
